Coolpad has launched Cool 1 Dual smartphone for Rs. 13999 in Silver and Gold color variants. The smartphone will be available for purchase exclusively on Amazon from January 5 onwards. Unlike previous sales, the Coolpad Cool 1 Dual will be available on open sale instead of time bound flash sale.
Equipped with the software from LeEco, the Cool 1 Dual handset brings the strength of Coolpad hardware. Instead of infusing Coolpad’s own UI, the newly launched handset has integrated LeEco’s eUI.
Commenting on the launch, James Du, Global CEO, Coolpad Group disclosed that India is one of the emerging markets for the company since it had sold nearly 3 million units. The company is really excited by the huge response they received after the launch of previous Coolpad handsets.
Coolpad Cool 1 Dual main highlight
The main attraction of Coolpad Cool 1 Dual is the addition of a dual 13MP rear camera coupled with dual-LED dual tone Flash. Moreover, the camera offers support for phase detection autofocus including features such as touch focus, face detection, panorama, and HDR. During the launch event, CoolPad disclosed that the phone will be able to capture stunning images even in low light conditions.

On the specifications front, the Cool 1 Dual features a 5.5-inch FHD display, Snapdragon 652 processor, and Adreno 510 graphics. The addition of a Full HD display offers a wide viewing angle experience paired with enhanced image quality. If you combine the metallic body, the look and feel of the new handset will be superior. You will be able to run multiple applications without any lags since the processor runs at a clock speed of 1.8GHz.
With a default internal storage of 32GB, the Cool 1 Dual is available in both 3GB and 4GB RAM variants. On the front, the phone bears an 8MP camera. The handset is equipped with a 4000mAh battery with fast charging support. According to Coolpad, the phone is capable of charging 50 percent in 30 minutes via Quick Charge 2.0 technology.
Responding to media queries, Syed Tajuddin, CEO, Coolpad India revealed that the company had a dream run over the last couple of years. The company has achieved more than the planned estimates. Tajuddin added that this was made possible only by launching quality products with the accurate specifications and pricing that current consumers demand.
He is hopeful that 2017 will be a game changer for them since the company is gearing up to occupy 4% market share. By establishing partnerships with 3000 stores, Coolpad has a 25% market share on Amazon under budget smartphone segment. The company will expand its reach to other countries in 2017. In addition to 4G VoLTE support, the Cool 1 Dual provides support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, FM radio. An interesting point to note is that the handset is equipped with both traditional headphone port and USB Type-C port.
