The 2018 variant of Audi A5 and S5 Cabriolets have finally unveiled. According to sources, the latest convertibles are not only lighter but also quicker. The new Audi A5 cabriolet features a 252-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder paired with a seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. However, the Audi S5 offers a 354-hp 3.0-liter turbocharged V-6 alongside an eight-speed torque converter automated. Both A5 and S5 are equipped with a Quattro four-wheel drive.

The company disclosed that the new convertibles weigh 88 pounds less than their previous counterparts. This is because of the integration of a brand new MLB Evo architecture. The main purpose of this mechanism is to decrease the overall weight.
