Asus has introduced two new models to its flagship EeeBook series loaded with Windows 10. The EeeBook E402 and Eeebook E205SA are available at Rs 16,990 and Rs 23,990 respectively from the retail stores across the country.
The company revealed in a statement that these new notebooks are designed and manufactured using metallic finish to provide mobility, productivity, entertainment and style.
Asus disclosed that the new notebooks are launched to meet the growing demand for affordable, compact and portable computing devices. Asus EeeBook E402 provides a separate slot, accessible through a special back-door on the bottom of the notebook, where you can insert hard drives up to 3TB capacity.
On the other hand, EeeBook E205SA has been designed using 360 degrees flip form factor mechanism. This feature enables you to switch from notebook to tablet and vice versa easily. Asus revealed that the notebook had the capability to provide a backup time of up to 8 hours.
The EeeBook E402 and EeeBook E205SA will have to compete with Acer One 14 and HP Stream Notebook. Asus EeeBook E402 features a 14-inch LED standard display, Intel Dual-Core Celeron N2840 Processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB storage, 32WHrs 2-cell Li-ion Prismatic Battery Pack and Chiclet Keyboard.
The notebook includes Asus branded technologies like Sonic Master, Splendid and Smart Gesture. The integrated touchpad with the keyboard has the capability to recognize gestures. Asus EeeBook E205SA features 11.6-inch IPS touch display, Intel Dual-Core Celeron N3050 Processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB storage with a new USB 3.1 Type-C port. The notebook lacks the three technologies that are included with EeeBook E402.
Even though the display of E205SA is small when compared to E402, Asus has priced the notebook at Rs 23,990 most probably due to its 2-in-1 touch screen. Both EeeBook E402 and E205SA include standard USB 2 and USB 3 slots in addition to regular connectivity features. The E205SA model doesn’t include VGA port. However, the display resolution for both devices is same at 1366×768.
Asus EeeBook E402MA includes one month free trial of Office 365 for new customers. However, Asus has bundled one year Office 365 personal package with EeeBook E205SA.
