Apple will reportedly unveil a 4-inch iPhone 6s Mini in 2015

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: APPL) is reportedly planning to launch a 4-inch iPhone 6s mini in 2015. Apple might have already heard consumer feedback on 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and larger 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus as being massive for tiny palms of many.

The specifications of the iPhone 6s mini are speculated to match with iPhone 5s with curved screen edges following iPhone 6 design. Timothy Arcuri, an analyst at Cowen and Company, noted that Apple is working on a new iPhone 6s Mini model that may debut in 2015.

According to the report, the new iPhone 6s Mini will come equipped with low-cost components from Qualcomm to make it a budget phone. This results into Apple’s attempt to replace not so popular budget iPhone 5c.

Arcuri has also speculated the iPad lineup to have a larger 12.9-inch model in the spring to refresh and reinvigorate this particular product category. The report also highlights initial shipments forecast of 15 million to 20 million units.

Arcuri is known for revealing number of details about the iPhone 6 back in January 2014. However, his overall track record on Apple rumors is mixed. If the recent claims come true, it will ascertain Apple is still considering the user reviews to drive its product development and sales.

iPhone 6 has broken many sales record worldwide that has proved to be a great success for the company. Kantar Worldpanel ComTech estimated a 10.4% increase in Apple’s share in British smartphone sales following the launch of iPhone 6. Apple has also claimed the highest ever market share, accounting for 39.5% of British smartphone sales.
