It is learned that Cupertino giant – Apple will supply large stocks of the iPhones, particularly iPhone 5S to Anil Ambani group – Reliance Communications from December 10 to cater to the demand for Reliance’s Unlimited iPhone Offer.

Apple assures iPhone 5S supply to Reliance Communications

Following the acquiring of nearly 50,000 customers, the telecom company paused the offer since it ran out of initial stocks. Assurance from Apple has brought a sigh of relief for the Reliance company. It will help Reliance Communications not just clear a backlog of around 50,000 pre-booked orders but also cater to new demand.

2 months ago, RCom had announced a two-year contract scheme, which claimed to offer the 16GB iPhone 5s at a zero cost. The telecom company also declared it would offer unlimited voice calls, SMS and 3G data for a fixed monthly fee of Rs 2,599 and Rs 2,999 for the 5S models. However, to take advantage the subscriber would have to agree to be locked-in to RCom’s network for a two-year contract.

Coming December 12 to December 17 Reliance Online Store will start selling iPhone 5S with confirmed delivery following Apple’s agreement to ship more devices.

Reliance is extending the current introductory prices of Rs 2,599 for iPhone 5C and Rs 2,999 for iPhone 5s for all confirmed orders placed on their online store by December 8. After this date, the prices will be revised upwards. The price is likely to be increased by around Rs 500.

This is the first time an Indian telecom company is bundling an iPhone with in-built usage. As you know, the offer is restricted to credit card users only. The Rcom official declined to comment on the matter.
