Amazon Great Indian festival sale: HP, LG, Fitbit products to go on discount from October 17

The party is not over. Amazon is holding Great Indian Festival sale from October 17 to 20. The e-commerce major has been teasing major discount on a wide range of products ranging from fashion, electronics, books, and entertainment. The deals will kick off sharp at 12 AM on October 17.

There are reports that products catalogued under the electronics category will get a massive 55 percent discount. Moreover, fashion products will be available at a discount between 40 to 80 percent.

While you can expect up to 70 percent discount for home and kitchen products, items under the toys, household & personal care catalogue will most likely receive a discount of up to 60 percent. You can also buy books and entertainment products at up to 60 percent discount.

Amazon Global Store

Amazon will also offer discounts for products listed under the Global Store. This means you can purchase products from the USA to India without incurring any additional fees. Amazon has included the taxes along with the total amount.

Brand discounts, Exchange offers, and No cost EMI

Amazon will offer 20 percent discount on products from HP, 30 percent discount for LG, up to 40 percent for Fitbit and up to 30 percent for Haier and Bosch. Amazon will also provide exchange offers of up to Rs. 15000 and no cost EMI packages in association with Bajaj.

Amazon Prime sale increased

Previously, Amazon India conducted Dussehra sale from October 1 to 5. The main attraction of the five-day Great Indian Festival was the huge increase in the sale of Amazon Prime subscription service.

The validity of free trial expired on October 1 for the majority of customers. Hence, customers opted to extend the service by paying Rs. 499. Interestingly, Amazon shipped out a welcome kit for all customers who paid for the Amazon Prime service.

According to reports, sales increased three-fold and reached more than 15 million orders six hours before the deals ended. The lightning deals got exhausted quickly.

Amazon expanded to 90 percent destinations in India

Amazon India also expanded the customer base by five times and also received orders from 90 percent of the Pincodes. The company deliver the products through their own logistics partner – Amazon Transportation Services, Bluedart, India Post and other courier partners.

Amazon received 65 percent of the orders from tier-II cities and towns. However, there was a 30-fold increase in orders from tier-III geographies compared to Diwali sale in 2015. Meanwhile, Amazon also sold consumables ranging from washing powder to grocery items.
