Acer has finally announced the much awaited Predator line of gaming products. The newest line by Acer is made up of four devices: Notebooks, Desktops, Display Screens and a Projector, all meant to enhance your gaming experience to the highest degree.
The Predator line of Acer’s products come with hardware that beat industry standards, and ensure the most fluid gaming experiences along with being immersive for entertainment too.
Predator Notebooks
The Predator Notebooks bring promise as well as performance. The notebooks are available in black with ribbed red accents that add a sense of chic. The outer chassis has a rubberized feel to it that lends better grip to the device. Available in 15” and 17” screens, the systems come along with a 64GB DDR4 RAM which is both fast and quite an offering. Both devices are powered by Intel’s latest 6th Gen Core i7 processors along with an NVIDIA Geforce graphics kit to power graphic intensive processes.
Both variants come the ‘Killer DoubleShot Pro’ feature that lets you connect your notebook to the internet over Ethernet and Wi-Fi simultaneously. The ‘Killer Network Manager’ assess the capabilities of each link and assigns connections to applications on the device making online gaming lag-free. The notebooks also come with the ability of running three fans to keep your device cool whilst running intense games or applications. Two DustDefender fans with a reverse rotation ensure that high-intensity components stay dust free and thereby maintain a lower temperature. The third fan, Predator FrostCore, is a swappable module that sits in your DVD tray and cools down the system, to be used as and when you need it.
The Predator notebooks also allow you to custom program your keyboard by dividing it into 4 segments, assign hot keys for gaming and even have four differently lit back-light zones on your keyboard for better gaming control. The sound on the notebooks is exceptional with SoundPound 4.2 on the 17” variant featuring 4 speakers and 2 sub-woofers delivering an output of 12 watts, and SoundPound 2.1 on the 15” variant featuring 2 speakers and 1 subwoofer delivering an output of 6 watts.
The Predator Gaming Mouse, Gaming Mouse Pad, Gaming Headset as well as Gaming Backpack are provided free with the notebook’s purchase.
The Predator 15” notebook features an Ultra-HD screen with 4K resolution whilst the 17” variant comes along with a Full-HD resolution screen.
Predator G6 and G3 Desktops
The G6 is built to remain future-proof against future gaming releases too. Designed to look like an ‘unstoppable flying machine’ the desktop uses Intel’s 6th Generation Core i7-6700K processors, paired with an NVIDIA Gefore GTX 980 graphics card to support 4K display resolutions. The desktop comes with a whopping 64GB of DDR4 RAM that allows one to run even the most intensive computing applications and games. The G6 comes along with expansion slots for memory (1 x PCI-E X16 slot, 2 x PCI-E X1 slots, 2 x M.2 slots) to house 4TB of space along with the option of adding another 512GB SSD over and above the 4TB. The housing also provides 6 USB 3.0 slots and 2 USB 2.0 slots so you can add controllers for other players too. You’ll also find four audio jacks so each of the gamers can wear an individual headset for individual hearing experiences.
Predator Z650 Projector
The Predator Z650 is a short-throw projector capable of rendering a 100” display area at just a 1.5meter distance from the image. The new projector delivers a 20000:1 contrast ratio and ensures the best hues with the use of an sRGB (RGBRGB) color wheel. The wider color wheel ensures color duplication is eliminated and also allows for you to connect to desktops and devices that are HDMI 3D and 3DTV Play enabled for a 3D projection. The projector employs the use of Acer’s ‘ColorSafe’ a technology that prevents accentuated hues of yellow, even when the lamp has been used for long hours. The Acer Z650 brings freedom to gaming, with 2 inbuilt speakers that deliver sound at 10Watts.
Acers Z34 Curved Monitor with G-SYNC
Acer’s Z34 is a 34” curved display monitor, the first to come along with NVIDIA’s G-SYNC technology. Casted out of aluminum, the monitor allows you to adjust ambient light to lend a better viewing experience whilst delivering sound with two 7W DTS speakers and a 178 degree viewing angle to accommodate many players. Furthermore, you can adjust the monitor from -5 degrees to 35 degrees around its axis for a better viewing angle as well as tilt the screen vertically by 130mm. The monitor employs the same sRGB color gamut as the Predator notebooks, for superior color reproduction with the elimination of duplicate colors and comes with a DisplayPort, an HDMI port as well as a USB 3.0 port for connectivity.
Predator Z35 with G-SYNC
The Predator Z35 is a curved 35” ultra-wide monitor with G-SYNC technology. Aimed at gamers the screen has a standard refresh rate of 144Hz, configurable up to 200Hz, the highest on any consumer display screen available. The screen comes with support for a DisplayPort, an HDMI port as well as 4-port USB 3.0 hub. Sound is powered by two 9W Dolby-Audio speakers. Colors on the screen are managed by an 8-bit RGB panel and the screen provides a 178 degree viewing angle both horizontally as well as vertically, with a contrast ratio of 3000:1. The Z35 can also be tilted from -5 degrees to a 25 degree angle for better viewing and adjusted vertically up to about 130mm.
