Lenovo Legion Y540 and Y740 gaming laptops launched in India

Lenovo has launched two new gaming laptops in India under its Legion range – the Legion Y540 and Legion Y740. Both new laptops get powered Intel’s 9th-gen Core CPUs and Nvidia GeForce RTX series GPUs as options. The new Y740 and Y540 get fueled by a 3-cell 57Wh battery that is claimed to deliver up to six hours of usage on a single charge.

Opportunities for expanding the gaming community and enabling vivid gameplay experiences across a variety of form factors have never been more exciting,” said Shailendra Katyal, Executive Director, Consumer PCSD, Lenovo India. ”

In terms of specifications, the Legion Y540 gaming laptop features a 15-inch Full HD display with a refresh rate of 144Hz. Under the hood, it gets powered by Intel’s 9th-gen Core i7 processor coupled with 32GB of RAM and 1TB SSD storage. It also packs Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 2060 GPU.

Other key features include Harmon speakers with support for Dolby Atmos. Connectivity options include USB Type C port, an HDMI port, as well as a 3.5mm audio jack.

The Legion Y740 packs a 15.6-inch Full HD anti-glare display which supports Dolby Vision for HDR gaming. Powering the laptop is Intel’s 9th-gen Core i7 processor bundled with 32GB of RAM and 1TB SSD storage. It also packs Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q card.

Elsewhere, the Legion Y740 sports a grey anodised aluminium exterior with customisable RGB LED effects. Moreover, it also comes with a RGB gaming keyboard. Other notable highlights include Dolby Atmos support, 3x USB 3.1 ports, one HDMI port, a USB Type C port, one RJ45 LAN port, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack.

In terms of pricing, the Legion Y540 starts at INR 69,990, while the Legion Y740 gets a starting price tag of INR 1,29,990.

Apart from these gaming laptops, Lenovo also announced the entire gaming range, which includes T730, T530 desktops, M500 RGB gaming mouse, K500 RGB mechanical keyboard and H500, H300 stereo gaming headsets. The new range is now available for purchase via the Lenovo India website, leading e-commerce retailers, as well as Lenovo stores across India.
