OnePlus 4 is expected to launch by June or July 2017 with Snapdragon 830 processor. According to reports coming in, the OnePlus 4 handset will be released either in June or July 2017 with unannounced Snapdragon 830 processor.
Since Qualcomm has not yet officially released Snapdragon 830 processor, we don’t have any confirmation as to whether the fourth edition of OnePlus will be shipped with the new chipset. You should accept this only with a pinch of salt. If the processor is released before April, you can expect OnePlus 4 to carry the same.
TSMC to manufacture Snapdragon 830 processor for OnePlus 4
Recently, there were reports that Samsung was entrusted with the manufacturing of the processor using the 10nm process. However, the recent reports from multiple sources signal the fact that Qualcomm has sealed a deal with TSMC. This is because Samsung has reportedly fallen behind schedule.
OnePlus 4 specifications
On the specifications segment, OnePlus 4 is expected to feature Snapdragon 830 processor, 8GB RAM, 4000mAh battery loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat. We had reported that OnePlus One and OnePlus 2 are rumored to receive Android Nougat update. You can expect Android 7.1 Nougat in the next edition of OnePlus since it’s almost sure that Google will officially release it until February 2017.
There are also reports that the company is gearing up to manufacture OnePlus 3T, which is expected to cost $80 more than the OnePlus 3.
Expected to be priced at around $470, the OnePlus 3T will be integrated with Snapdragon 821 processor, 6GB RAM, rear camera with Sony IMX398 sensor loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat. We expect the official release of OnePlus 3T by around middle of 2017.
