ZTE Blade V8 vs Blade V8 Pro: Features, Specifications and Price

ZTE Blade V8

ZTE has launched ZTE Blade V8 and ZTE Blade V8 Pro with dual real cameras at the CES 2017 in Las Vegas, United States. While Blade V8 features a 13MP and 2MP dual camera sensors on the rear, the Blade V8 Pro offers 13MP dual camera sensor. Moreover, the Blade V8 Pro variant ships with an enhanced processor than Blade V8 model with different storage parameters. In this article, we will examine the specifications of both handsets in detail.

Display

ZTE Blade V8 features a 5.2-inch FHD display with a pixel density of 424PPI. On the other hand, the ZTE Blade V8 Pro is equipped with a 5.5-inch FHD Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protected display paired with a pixel density of 401PPI. As you can see, the pixel density of Blade V8 is greater than Pro variant despite a 5.2-inch display. Regarding screen-to-body ratio, the Blade V8 offers a 70.3% when compared to 69.4% in Pro model.

Performance

ZTE Blade V8 is equipped with a Snapdragon 435 processor coupled with Adreno 505 graphics. The 2GB RAM variant will have 16GB internal storage, while the 3GB RAM model will ship with 32GB internal storage. You will be able to expand the storage up to 256GB. When it comes to ZTE Blade V8 Pro, the phone features a Snapdragon 625 processor, Adreno 506 graphics, 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage with expansion up to 256GB.

Camera

ZTE Blade V8 is equipped with a 13MP rear camera alongside 2MP fixed-focus camera with support for autofocus and LED flash. On the front, you will have a 13MP sensor with support for FHD video recording. With the rear camera, you can FHD videos at 30 fps.

ZTE Blade V8 Pro, meanwhile, ships with dual 13MP sensors with support for PDAF and dual-LED flash. You can capture 2K videos at 30 fps and FHD videos at 30 fps. When it comes to the front, the handset offers an 8MP sensor.

Battery

While the Blade V8 is equipped with a 2730mAh battery, the Pro variant offers a slightly higher rated battery at 3140mAh. However, ZTE Blade V8 Pro provides support for fast charging technology via Quick Charge 2.0. Hence, you will be able to charge the battery quickly.

Operating Platform

ZTE has pre-loaded Android 7.0 Nougat in Blade V8 with a fingerprint sensor embedded into the physical home button. Interestingly, the ZTE Blade V8 Pro comes with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. We wonder why the premium model is equipped with an older Android platform.

ZTE Blade V8 will be a budget friendly handset with an improved design. To begin with, the phone will be available in Russia and Japan. It will be available in Germany, Spain, and China by April 2017. During the launch event, the company disclosed that ZTE Blade V8 Pro had been priced at $230, which equates to Rs. 15620. However, ZTE hasn’t revealed the price of Blade V8.
