Zopo Speed 8 price, release date revealed: Deca-core processor, Android Marshmallow

Zopo, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has launched Zopo Speed 8 at Rs. 29,999. Available via both online and offline retail stores from Wednesday, Zopo Speed 8, touted to be the flagship smartphone features MediaTek’s deca-core Helio X20 MT6797 processor.

According to the company sources, the main USP of Zopo Speed 8 is the integration of Helio X20 processor. Moreover, the Speed 8 is the first smartphone in the market to ship with the processor alongside 4GB RAM, which is plenty for a lag free performance.

Zopo Speed 8 Specs: 3600mAh battery, Helio X20 processor

On the specifications segment, Zopo Speed 8 features a 5.5-inch FHD IPS display with a pixel density of 400PPI and 32GB of non-expandable internal storage loaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. A 3600mAh battery with fast charging support completes the package.

If you look at the specifications, the Speed 8 bears almost similar internals as the recently introduced LeEco Le 2 except the fact that the smartphone has 4GB of RAM. Moreover, the pixel density of Speed 8 is slightly less than Le 2.

While the rear camera features a 21-megapixel Sony IMX230 sensor paired with f/2.2 aperture and LED Flash, the front-facing snapper is loaded with an 8-megapixel OV8856 sensor coupled with a f/2.0 aperture and LED Flash.

Talking about connectivity, the dual-SIM Zopo Speed 8 offers all major options like 4G, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, headphone jack, Micro-USB slot, and FM radio in addition to standard sensors. With a thickness measuring 9.8mm and 164 grams weight, the Zopo Speed 8 is available in both Black and White variants.

Even though the official pricing is announced at Rs. 29,999, the Zopo Speed 8 is available at Rs. 31,500 from Amazon and Rs. 29,999 with additional shipping charges from Naaptol.

Before you add Zopo Speed 8 to the shopping cart, we would suggest you check out other competing devices like Mi 5, Le 2, Redmi Note 3, Nextbit Robin including a Samsung J series. In the competitive smartphone sector, Zopo will have a tough time to find new customers when there are many other options available at low-cost.
