ZenFone AR Smartphone Officially Hit Both Online & Offline Stores

Back in The International Consumer Electronics Show, the subsidiary of Asus, ZenFone introduced its latest smartphone – the ZenFone AR and the design and features of the phone were impressive. But it was unclear when the Taiwanese multinational will launch the handset in the markets. Now, wrapping all expectations and calculations up, the premium handset manufacturing company has officially launched the Verizon-exclusive smartphone over this weekend. With the price tag of $648, the Verizon-exclusive handset is available in both online and offline stores.

The ZenFone AR is the first smartphone to have compatibility with both Tango, which is the 3D mapping tech of Google, designed to support AR, and Daydream VR. This combined premium features will provide the users of ZenFone AR a mixed experience of both AR and VR. Apart from these functions, the slim and lightweight packed phone also features a line-up of premium specifications including a 5.7 inches Super AMOLED capacitive display which is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Under the hood, the phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 processor and is backed by a 3300mAh non-removable battery.

In the storage department, it features 8GB RAM and 128GB of RAM which is further expandable up to 2000GB via micro-SD card slot. Running on Android Nougat 7.0 OS, the ZenFone AR boasts a 23-megapixel rear dual camera in the back panel and an 8-megapixel front snapper for the selfie.

With additional features like dual SIM (GSM and GSM), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, 3G and 4G, sensors like Compass Proximity sensor, Magnetometer, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Barometer, the phone will cost around Rs. 42, 000 in the Indian market. Likewise, for the US markets, the ZenFone AR will be available for $599.

With two configurations like 64GB storage / 6GB RAM variant and 128GB storage / 8GB RAM variant, the ZenFone AR is now available in both online and offline retails for $599 and $699 respectively.
