Design

The earphones are available in a bunch of color options, and we have the Grey one with us. They follow the same generic design and come with a metal housing. There is a magnetic lock which was is quite famous these days, thanks to OnePlus’s Bullets Wireless Earphones. On the connectivity front, the earphones come with Bluetooth 4.2 support out of the box.

Thanks to the relatively newer Bluetooth version they use, the earphones can be connected to more than one device at a time. The earphones are splash proof but there is no mention of any sort of IP rating. Features like AptX or Bluetooth LE are also missing, but they do gain A2DP support.

The cable is reasonably long, and the control module is placed on the right for easy access. The module here has three buttons, out of which, two are for volume and tracks adjustment, while the third one is a power button. On the opposite of the lies the micro-USB charging port. There is a detachable neckband included for high-intensity workouts so that the earphones don’t fall off.

Performance

The pairing process was hassle free and very simple. The earphones get reasonably loud considering their size. We didn’t face any difficulty with the connections and it was very stable. Considering the price, they get very loud, but at the same time don’t give you that oomph factor. The bass is flat and so is the whole soundstage. They are best used during workouts and are not meant for audiophiles of any level.

Talking about the battery, the earbuds come with a 70mAh battery which gives a maximum of 3 hours backup, which is very low. With moderate usage, the earbuds will last you just a day and take about an hour to charge fully.

Pricing

Zebronics ZEB-FLEX Bluetooth Earphones – INR 999

Pros

Cons

  • Average Quality Mic

Verdict – Should you go for it?

If you’re in the market for a new pair of Bluetooth earphones just for your workouts, then this product is for you, as you can get it for as low as INR 700. Other types of users, simply need to stay away from this.
