The Indian smartphone manufacturer Micromax sub brand Yu Mobile has launched the new midrange smartphone in the country today. The phone is known as Yu Yureka 2, and it’s packed with Snapdragon 625 SoC and 16MP rear camera.

The Yu Yureka 2 is packed with 5.5 inches Full HD display which comes with 2.5D curved glass. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM. The phone also comes with 64GB ROM and fuelled by a 3930mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0 for fast charging.
The Yu Yureka 2 smartphone is run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box. Regarding optics, the Yu Yureka 2 smartphone is packed with a 16 MP rear which comes with a dual-LED flash. While up front, there is an 8MP selfie shooter which will offer detail and sharp images.
On the connectivity front, the smartphone includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Micro-USB. The Yu Yureka 2 is also enriched by an array of sensors like accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.
Price and availability
The Yu Yureka 2 smartphone launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 11,999 and it will focus exclusively on Flipkart during the Big Billion Days sale, which starts on September 20. Micromax is regularly coming up with entry and mid-range smartphones in Indian market. As the company is only targeting these two segment, their offering seems to be highly competitive.
The Indian mid-range market is already flooded with the foreign and domestic brands, as it becomes highly saturated at this point of time. The brands like Xiaomi, Panasonic, Infocus, and Vivo are already grabbed a significant amount market share in this segment. Whereas, the Micromax has never been the same player after the mighty Canvas series.
