Yu YuPix portable printer goes on sale today at Rs 6,999 on Amazon

New Delhi – Yu Televentures has launched a new portable printer called YuPix for 6,999 INR, which is compatible with iOS and Android smartphones. The new portable printer will go on sale today on Amazon.

The new YuPix is a compact pocket size printer measuring just 2.99×6.01×0.94 inches and weighs 273 grams. It converts photos from smartphones into printed ones. The printer will be having a 750mAh battery and a unique cartridge with integrated ink ribbon and photo paper.

According to Yu, the printer has ten times faster image transfer speed than any other pocket printers currently available in a market. If you are concerned about YuPix printing capabilities, the technology used by YuPix is ‘dye sublimation.’

It can print digital photos up to a size of 2.1×3.4 inches at a pixel density of 291ppi. It can also print up to 10 continuous copies and photos with water/fingerprint resistant capabilities.

The new YuPix printer can be connected via Wi-Fi or NFC. You will need to install the YuPix app, which will be used for editing photos and printing copies. Yu claims 60 seconds of print time for each picture.

The company has confirmed that Yu YuPix (blue) will cost Rs 6,999 and will be on an exclusive sale at Amazon India website from today. Micromax seems to be convinced that there is enough market for portable printers.

In a related development, Micromax Yu Televentures is all set to launch a new smartphone on 8 September.
