YouTube FanFest India 2016 is scheduled for 18th March 2016 at Mumbai’s NSCI SVP indoor stadium. Responding to questions from the reporters, Gautam Anand, Director of Content and Operations, YouTube Asia-Pacific said that the FanFest has been arranged to provide a platform for the new generation of YouTube trendsetters in India to network with global personalities directly on the stage rather than seeing them online.

Jointly organized by YouTube and Branded Ltd for the third consecutive year, the event will bring together over 5000 emerging YouTube stars from India and around the world to interact with their fans in person through local internet sensations and live onstage performances.

YouTube has planned the event in such a way to provide a mixture of entertainment to all fans with the help of music, comedy, dance, fashion and much more. Moreover, fans will be able to perform with the stars live on the stage and also engage with them in the red carpet pre-show.

According to Jasper Donat, CEO of Branded, the company is expected to add more popular personalities to the invite list in the coming days. Donat also revealed that this year’s FanFest will be the largest event ever organized by YouTube and personalities have already expressed great interest and enthusiasm to meet their fans across India.

During the event, fans will have an opportunity to meet their favourite YouTuber closely and personally. Moreover, they will be able to participate in various promotions organized by the personalities and win exciting prizes directly from the hands of stars.

“I am thrilled to visit Mumbai for the third YouTube FanFest. The fans in India are the best in the world and I have great respect for them. I look forward to performing with them again”, adds Kurt Hugo Schneider.

Meanwhile, Connor Franta disclosed that he is over excited because this is his first ever event in India. Even though he had attended other FanFests, Franta adds that there is so much energy and enthusiasm as far as India is concerned and he looks forward to interacting with his fans in India.
