The phrase ‘better late than never’ fits Xolo like no one else. Despite its rather late entry into the tablet arena, the company is all set to walk in with a bang! According to the reports by Gizmodo, Xolo is geared up to launch its own tablet based on the Nvidia Tegra Note reference design next month, and are naming it the new Xolo Play Tegra Note tablet.

Citing a company’s official, Gizmodo states that the new Xolo Tegra Note tablet will be launched in India next month, with the price ranging between Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000. It also further claims to have caught hold of confirmed information regarding the price, and expects that the first Tegra 4-powered tablet from Xolo will cost Rs. 16,999.

The Nvidia unveiled its much-awaited Tegra Note tablet earlier this month. But interestingly, the new Tegra Note wasn’t a new consumer tablet. Instead, it was a sort of reference design tablet which the Nvidia’s partners could adopt and imprint on it their own brand name. Nvidia did announce about releasing the Tegra Note tablet in India through Xolo.

Coming to the features of this brand new tablet, the new Xolo Play Tegra Note tablet boasts a 7-inch hull HD IPS LCD display (1280×800), with 5-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front camera. It is powered by the Tegra 4 processor with a 72-core GeForce GPU and quad-core Cortex-A15 CPU and runs Android operating system. It holds 16GB internal storage, with expandable microSD support upto 32GB. Besides, the tablet comes with front-facing HD audio stereo speakers with bass reflex port, and can deliver upto 10 hours of HD video playback, as claimed by Nvidia.

Some of the highlights of this new tablet are the DirectStylus technology, Nvidia PureAudio technology, SmugMug Camera app, and the Nvidia TegraZone, providing access to the Tegra-optimized games.
