Xiaomi has launched a whole new lineup of exciting Mi products — Mi 4c, Mi Mobile, Mi Bluetooth Speaker. Hugo Barra, Vice President of International for Xiaomi shared the details of this new lineup on Facebook. Talking about Mi 4c, Xiaomi has not specifically disclosed what the letter “c” means.
However, the MIUI forum post indicates that it may refer to China. Xiaomi will likewise repeat its India-specific Mi 4i strategy in China.
The letter “c” may also refer to colors, as the new Xiaomi Mi4c comes in five different color variants — white, gray, pink, yellow and blue.
The Mi 4c is Xiaomi’s first ever smartphone to come with USB Type-C. Xiaomi has also changed its standard packaging with this new addition to the company’s smartphone segment. The brand new Xiaomi Mi 4c is powered by Snapdragon 808 Soc and Adreno 418 GPU.
The Xiaomi Mi 4c comes in two storage options — 16GB (2GB RAM) and 32GB (3GB RAM). The Xiaomi’s latest flagship device doesn’t have an expandability option. The Mi 4c has a 13-megapixel autofocus camera as well 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
The Xiaomi Mi 4c sports a 5.0″ IPS LCD capacitive multitouch touchscreen display with 1080 x 1920 pixels full HD resolution and 441 PPI pixel density. The device features MIUI 7.0 and runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system out of the box.

For Xiaomi Mi 4c, pricing in China is RMB 1299 (US$204) for 2GB RAM and 16GB Flash, and RMB 1499 (US$235) for 3GB RAM and 32GB Flash.
Mi Bluetooth Speaker
Xiaomi has also announced its brand new Mi Bluetooth Speaker, which promises a volume up to 90dB and features a stylish metal body design. The Mi Bluetooth Speaker also said to have a music playback from a MicroSD card. This Xiaomi offering comes equipped with a 1500mAh battery and promises to last 8 hours on a single charge.
The Mi Bluetooth Speaker is available in gold, blue and pink for RMB 199 (US$31).
Mi Mobile
Xiaomi is the first OEM to launch a carrier MVNO network “Mi Mobile” in China. The mobile network service launched by Xiaomi offers a monthly plan with 3GB of LTE data for RMB 59 (under US $10).
Xiaomi Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) service only operates in China, and also enables consumers to opt for” pay as you go” option. It costs RMB 0.10 (under US $0.02) per voice minute, SMS and 1MB data.
