Xiaomi

Xiaomi India has claimed that the company has sold more than 500,000 handsets in less than three days from October 1 to 3. According to sources, this landmark milestone was achieved as part of the on-going festive deals on Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal and Tata Cliq.

In a statement released to the press, the company disclosed that Mi and Redmi branded smartphones were made available across leading partner platforms. This includes Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal, and Tata Cliq during their respective festive sales. Moreover, the current achievement is a key milestone for Mi India.

Redmi 3S sales increased

Based on total sales figure, Redmi 3S along with its brother Redmi 3S Prime was the hottest and top selling product on Flipkart Big Billion Days sale. When it comes to Amazon Great Indian Festival Sale, it was Redmi Note 3.

Xiaomi accounted four out of six handsets

Interestingly, four of the top six selling products under the electronics segment of Amazon were products manufactured by Xiaomi. It includes Redmi Note 3 (Gold), Redmi Note 3 (Grey), Mi Band 2 and 10000mAh Mi Power Bank.

Commenting on the development, Manu Jain, India Head, Xiaomi revealed that the whole team is extremely proud to share this landmark milestone with our fans, partners and employees. The company was able to achieve the 5 lakh sales milestone after six months of rigorous planning and hard work. Furthermore, this had set new benchmark in the industry.

Flipkart sold 800,000 handsets on first day of Big Billion Days

Flipkart sold more than 800,000 smartphones during the first day of Big Billion Days and Xiaomi was the top smartphone brand. The handsets include Mi 4, Redmi Note 3, Mi 5, Mi Max, Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime. The smartphones of Xiaomi also sold like hot cakes during Snapdeal Unbox Festive deals and Tata Cliq’s Festober Sale.

According to a study conducted by IDC, Xiaomi is currently the third largest smartphone brand across top 30 cities in India. Moreover, Redmi Note 3 was shipped on a large scale across India’s online market throughout 2016.

In 2015, Xiaomi sold half a million smartphones within a span of 30 days during the festive month of October. If you look at the sales statistics of 2016, the company had reached the target within 3 days.
