Xiaomi is on the verge of launching the Redmi Note 5. There are various occasions in the past where the device was in the news and recently a leaked of a Xiaomi image that appears to be the Redmi Note 5 surfaces on the web. The Redmi Note 5 is the successor to the Note 4 which is a game changer for Xiaomi in India and with the Note 5, Xiaomi is aiming to repeat the same feat. The Redmi Note 5 is expected to launch in the coming weeks and this time around the company will also follow the trend of 18:9 bezel-less display.

The company still didn’t start teasing the device, but that never came in the way of the leaksters and rumor mill to keep the device in the news till it gets launched. The fresh leaks bring us more than just specs; we get to see the device in its full glory. Shared by a user on Weibo, the Redmi Note 5 is likely to sport a 5.5-inches Full HD+ 18:9 bezel-less display and the picture shows off the device in a gray metallic body. The front has very slim bezels on all sides, and the top portion is extremely thin despite the front 5-megapixel camera and sensors.

Down below the display, there are no bezels, and there is no home button either, and on the rear side, you find the vertically aligned dual camera setup, LED flash, Fingerprint sensor, and Mi branding. The Redmi Note 5 is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC and 3/4GB of RAM with 16/35/64GB storage variants. Furthermore, the camera optics is rumored to be a 16+5-megapixel setup on the rear and a 5-megapixel on the front.

GSMArena cites the purported pricing of the Redmi Note 5 all variants citing the Weibo user claims, the base 3GB RAM/ 16GB storage variant is said to be priced at CNY 999, the 3GB RAM model with 32GB storage is priced at CNY 1,299, while the 4GB RAM variant with 64GB storage costs CNY 1,699.
