Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G goes on sale beginning December 30

Popular Chinese smartphone and tablet manufacturer Xiaomi has just announced that its much-anticipated Redmi Note 4G will go on sale by the end of this month. The company announced that it will sell the device in India through Flipkart flash sale beginning December 30.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G has got a price tag of INR 9,999. It is an attractive price point for a display that sports 5.5-inch HD IPS screen, 1.6 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor and a high capacity 3200 mAh battery.

Anticipating the huge demand for this device, Xiaomi said that customers will need to register for the device ahead of the big launch on December 20. Registration starts on Tuesday 18:00 hours IST via Flipkart.

Xiaomi has continued making buzz in Indian smartphone industry in recent weeks. Last month, it introduced Xiaomi Redmi Note at Rs. 8,999 and Redmi Note 4G at Rs. 9,999. But the 4G model of the device is yet to be released. In addition to the Redmi Note 4G being a 4G-capable phone, it packs Qualcomm processor instead of a MediaTek processor and 3G network capability used in Redmi Note.

Xiaomi Note 4G has got a 13 MP rear camera with autofocus capability and LED flash, and 2 MP front camera. The phone runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS with MIUI v5 skin on top and is expected to be updated to Android Lollipop some time in 2015.

If the statistical result provided by Xiaomi is to be believed, the company managed to sell out 50,000 units in just 6 seconds on December 2, while on December 6, Xiaomi sold out 75,000 units in less than 10 seconds.
