Xiaomi Redmi 3S sale in India on August 17 at Flipkart and Mi India

Xiaomi has pushed more than 90,000 units of its immensely popular Redmi 3S Prime on Mi.com and Flipkart. The stock sold out in less than eight minutes. Xiaomi also informed that the cheaper version of the Redmi 3S would be available on the first sale at 12 pm from August 17 once again on Mi.com and Flipkart.

The India Head Xiaomi, Manu Kumar Jain in an email statement said that the company is monitoring the reaction of its fans very carefully, and the constant feedback enables the company to improve on two heads-flash sales and product launching timings for India. The company had a significant volume of stocks of 90,000 units, and the sale was initiated without registration.

Xiaomi Redmi 3S Specs and Features

It could be dubbed as the “most successful open sale on Flipkart.” To refresh memories the Redmi 3S Prime carried a price tag of Rs. 8,999 while the Redmi 3S is priced at Rs.6, 999. The difference of Rs. 2,000 can be justified by the difference in specs between the two devices. The Redmi 3S Prime boasts a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. On the other hand, the Redmi 3S boasts a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The Redmi 3S Prime version also features a fingerprint sensor on the back panel.

Both the devices have mostly similar features; both boast dual SIM (Micro + Nano) support. The devices run on the MI user interface which is based on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow platform. The device features a 5-inch HD screen with a resolution of 720 X 1280 pixels IPS display. The device run on, an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC, complimented with an Adreno 505 GPU. Both the device bears a 13 MP primary camera and a 5MP secondary camera for selfies and video chatting. The devices are 4G LTE compatible and can run smoothly on Indian LTE bands. The device features a 41000mAh battery.

The company has revealed that Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime is entirely made in India and is the most endowed version of the Redmi 3S which was never made in India. The device is one of the few devices available in the market with additional security features like the fingerprint sensor under the price tag of less than Rs. 10,000.
