Xiaomi Mi Max 2 with Android 7.1.1 Nougat, 5300mAh battery launched in India

Xiaomi has officially launched the Mi Max 2 smartphone in India just as it promised; it is the successor to the last year’s Mi Max smartphone. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 5000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. The device is priced at Rs. 16,999. It will be available from July 27th via Amazon.in, Tat Cliq, Paytm Mall, Flipkart and offline retail stores as well.

XIAOMI Mi Max 2 SPECIFICATIONS: The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 packs a large 6.44-inches (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC clocked at 2GHz Octa-Core 14nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 506 GPU. There is 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and a microSD card slot for memory expansion. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with MIUI 8.

Moving to the camera department, there is a 12-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX386 sensor, dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, 1.25μm pixel size and a 5-megapixel shooter with 85-degree wide-angle lens, f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video chats. It comes with Fingerprint Sensor and IR Blaster as well. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4 / 5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C. A 5300mAh (typical) / 5200mAh (minimum) battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support is on board.
