The Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi has opened a new flagship MI retail store in Hyderabad today, which will become fully operational from September 12th. This is the fifth retail store open by the company in India. Xiaomi has already confirmed that they have prepared a blueprint for opening 100 Mi store in India in the upcoming year.
At Mi Home retail store, the company offers a plethora of products like Mi VR Play, Air Purifier, Mi Router, power banks, headphone, and Mi Band 2 along with the smartphones. Xiaomi also announced the strategic business partnership with the country’s reputation retails chain brands like eZone, Hotspot, Big C, Lot and Vijay Sales to provide availability of their devices in 600 retail stores across the country.
Xiaomi has posted a solid presence in the offline retail market in recent times, as the company has already set a milestone in acquiring huge sales figure in the recent past. The recently launched Redmi Note 4 has outclassed the very popular Samsung Galaxy J2 smartphone and become the highest shipped handset in Q1 2017.
The majority of Xiaomi sale in India comes from the entry and mid range smartphones like Redmi 4, Redmi 4A and Note 4. The company is generating a huge revenue from these smartphones. The company is eyeing on the prominent offline market in India which is quite huge as compare to online market. And to avail that opportunity, the Xiaomi is eyeing to reach 1500 retail stores in 30 cities pan India by the last of Q4 this year.
