Xiaomi to unveil ‘Smart’ Mi Water Purifier in India soon

Xiaomi has been making its place in different markets with its varied products. From phone to power bank then lamps to AC, Xiaomi has a smart purifier “Mi Water Purifier” next in the list.

The MI Water Purifier has been developed by Yunmo Technology and is priced at 1,299 Yuan, i.e., Rs 13,279 approximately. Reverse Osmosis used in the purifier is same as the process used for bottled pure water filtration.

It comprises of four filters: a cotton filter, two activated coconut carbon filter and an RO membrane.

Hugo Barra, VP of Xiaomi posted on Facebook, “This is a product we’d LOVE to bring to India soon- “Mi Water Purifier. Just announced today.

“it makes tap water drinkable with Reverse Osmosis (RO), is super compact, shows real-time water quality, and reminds you on your Smartphone when its time to replace the filter.”

The cotton filter cleans sediment, rust and other impurities from the water. The carbon filter reduces odor and discoloration and focuses on improving the taste of water.

Lastly, the RO membrane filters heavy metals and organic matter and bacteria from the water.

The purifier is small in size and is eight times faster than standard purifiers.

This purifier can be controlled via smartphone. Installed apps on smartphone give real-time data on the purity of the water and reminds you when it’s time to change the filter.
