Windows Phone 8.1-based Xolo Win Q900s available for pre-order on Snapdeal for Rs. 9,999

Indian smartphone manufacturing company Xolo has stepped into the Windows Phone era. Company has just launched its first Windows Phone 8.1-based Xolo Win Q900s in the Indian market. Without any surprising factor, Xolo Win Q900s carry the hardware identical to Micromax Canvas Win range.

The device is listed on the company’s online store with an MRP of Rs. 11,999. Whereas the discounted Xolo Win Q900s is listed on Snapdeal for pre-order, and ready to be launched in July. It is priced at Rs. 9,999 for pre-order on Snapdeal.

Xolo Win Q900s sports a 4.7-inch multi-touch HD IPS OSD scratch-resistant Dragon Trail Glass display along with 1280x720p resolution, and has a pixel density of 321 ppi. The dual-sim (GSM+GSM) Xolo Win Q900s is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, with 1GB RAM and Adreno 302 GPU.

This smartphone offers 8MP rear-facing camera with Autofocus, PureCel Sensor, and LED flash, and 2MP front-facing camera for video calling. Xolo Win Q900s offers 720p HD video recording capabilities to its users.

It has an internal memory of 8GB, which can further be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. Connectivity-wise, the device offers 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS. Xolo Win Q900s comes equipped with 1,800mA Li-Pol battery. This lightweight device on paper weighs around 100g.

Recently this month, Xolo introduced its Windows 8.1-based tablet Xolo Win for Rs. 19,990. The tablet comes pre-bundled with Microsoft Office, and enables users to perform document and spreadsheet making, editing, etc.

For the first time, we are watching brands like Xolo and Micromax coming up with Windows Phone devices. On the hardware front, the device and its specifications seem OK. However, we are not sure how it will perform, as this is for the first time Xolo has come up with a Windows Phone device.
