Vodafone and Paytm offer free mobile recharge

Heavy rains and floods have severely halted a large number of areas of Chennai and Tamil Nadu, affecting all the major transport services and school exams so far. As a part of the same, Vodafone and Paytm have come up with free mobile recharges to help people to remain connected with their loved ones.

Vodafone has issued a statement saying the company is now offering prepaid recharge of Rs.10 to its customers for Vodafone to Vodafone calling.

Additionally, Vodafone customers with data pack enabled will get 100MB of free mobile data. However, both these offerings will have a validity for two days.

Vodafone postpaid customers will have their bill payment deadline extended.

Paytm at the other hand is offering a free recharge of Rs.30. Chennai residents will simply need call on 18001030033 and avail free recharge from Paytm.

“The idea is to enable people to stay in touch at this time of natural distress. The humble but highly impactful initiative from Paytm has elicited a very positive response from Chennai residents on social media,” says Paytm.
