Vivo S1 Pro goes official with SD675 and 32MP Pop-up selfie camera

Vivo S1 Pro

The smartphone giant introduced the Vivo S1 with Helio P70 and a 24.8MP elevating selfie camera back in March. Now, the company has launched the Pro-model of the same, dubbed as Vivo S1 Pro in China.

Notably, the Vivo S1 Pro looks identical to the non-Pro model. However, as you’d expect, it brings better specifications and features to the table. In fact, there’s an interesting twist amongst variants of the new model.

Under the hood of the Vivo S1 Pro, sits the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC coupled with Adreno 612 GPU. Notably, the handset comes in two different RAM and storage variants. One with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage while the other gets larger 8GB of RAM but only 128GB of internal storage. Interestingly, both variants have the same price tag so that consumers can choose according to their priorities.

As for the other aspects, the Vivo S1 Pro gets a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED notchless display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Moreover, the phone features an in-display fingerprint scanner and one also gets the option to expand storage up to 256 GB via a microSD card.

For photography, the phone gets a triple camera setup at the rear. The module comprises of a 48MP primary sensor with f/1.78 aperture, paired with an 8MP ultrawide sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, there’s a 32MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture housed in the pop-up module.

On the software front, the device runs FunTouch OS 9 based on Android 9 Pie. There’s also a dedicated button on the left bezel to trigger AI-based voice assistant Jovi. A 3,700mAh battery packs all of this. Lastly, the connectivity options onboard include a Micro USB port 2.0, Wi-Fi, VoLTE, GPS, and A-GPS with GLONASS, etc.

The Vivo S1 Price has been set at CNY2,698 (about Rs. 27,700). Both the 6/256GB and 8/128GB models carry the same price tag. It will go on sale in China from May 9 in Blue and Red colour options.
