Sony has officially announced the launch of the new SRS-XB01 wireless speaker in India. Priced at INR 2,590, the new speaker is now available for purchase across all Sony centres and major electronic stores across India. In addition, the SRS-XB01 will also be available on Flipkart. It will be offered in a choice of six colour variants. These include Blue, Red, Yellow, Black, Green, and White.
According to the company, the SRS XB01 is a pocket-sized wireless speaker that offers a powerful bass and tailor-made for users who like the EDM (Electronic Dance Music) genre. It sports a compact, rounded design, a full range speaker unit, along with a rear-mounted passive radiator.
In addition, the SRS-XB01 also offers Bluetooth connectivity and a built-in microphone for hands-free calling. Apart from playing music via Bluetooth, it also comes with a microUSB port and a 3.5mm audio jack for audio playback.
“The Sony SRS-XB01 creates deeper and richer bass with high sound pressure which additionally enhances the user’s favorite tunes. The small, pocket-sized speaker enriches every beat and gives any party a boost with EXTRA BASS sound”, wrote Sony in a press release.
It also comes with an IPX5 water resistant rating which protects the speaker from accidental splashes of water. Additionally, Sony claims that the SRS-XB01 offers up to 6 hours of battery life. The portable speaker weighs nearly 160gm.
