Sony introduces In-Car AV Centre Head Units in India

Sony has introduced two brand-new in-car AV centre head units – The XAV-612BT and XAV-712BT in India. Both the units offering drivers a way to t be associated music, navigation and smartphone apps while driving.

Equipped with Double-DIN multimedia centre, which seamlessly connects to a number of compatible smartphones and transforms devices into automotive application platforms, useful for content and apps accessibility.

Based on the technology called MirrorLink, offering users an ability to have a two-way integration with the smartphone’s screen to the AV centre head units. Offering a 6.1-inch and 7-inch colored touchscreen display, selected mobile functions can directly be controlled on the out of the box.

The XAV-612BT and XAV-712BT are enough capable of reading out incoming text messages, tweets and calendar reminders once authorized by the driver. This helps then staying in touch with friends, and ensuring safe journey to complete their tasks.

In addition, the head units also features MHL / HDMI (Mobile High-Definition Link/ High-Definition Multimedia Interface) technology. It takes care of the audio and video content on the compatible smartphone and ensure that the one can experience technology in a different way through the head unit display.

In terms of music and video playback quality, the XAV-612BT and XAV-712BT have been structured in the way 4.1 multi-channel offering surrounded sound and virtual centre speaker. Powered by an advanced sound engine, a huge scale sonic refinement suits the mood in the car.

Additionally, Dynamic Reality Amp offers a powerful 4 x 52W output, enhancing the overall music experience, and the radio reception works without facing any difficulties even when the car is in the weak FM signal coverage area.

Talking about pricing, XAV-602BT (without HDMI / MHL) is priced at Rs.27,990. XAV-612BT and XAV-712BT are priced at Rs. 30,990 and Rs. 33,990, respectively.

The new AV centre head units from Sony comes with a two year warranty, and will be available across all Sony Center and car accessories shops across India by January 20, 2014.
