On Thursday, India’s first global technology OEM and Premier IoT brand Smartron announced the launch of its new budget smartphone, the tphone P. The phone which is categorised under the sub-8k segment will be available exclusively via a flash sale on Flipkart on January 17 starting at 12.01 pm. You will have to order the phone quickly as the budget smartphone will be available till stocks last.
Talking about the specifications of the phone, the tphone P sports a dazzling 5.2 inch HD display. The phone is powered by a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 Octa Core Chipset processor that runs on Android Nougat OS. The phone comes with an inbuilt storage of 32GB that can be expanded upto 128GB via a microSD card. The users can additionally get 1000 GB of free tcloud storage so that they never have to delete anything from the device with the Smartron’s tronX integration. In the camera department, the tphone P offers an advanced 13 mega pixel rear camera with autofocus and 5MP front camera along with low light flash and beautification modes.
The phone also comes with a fingerprint sensor for security access to the phone. The users that will also get an option to take pictures and answer calls by just simply tapping on the fingerprint sensor.
The tphone P is backed by a massive 5000 mAh battery that can last more than 2 days on a single charge. The phone is not only capable of lasting up to a week on standby but also gives the option to charge other devices such smartphones, smartbands, speakers, etc. through an OTG support.
Telling more about the device, Amit Boni, Vice President Sales and Marketing, Smartron said that the tphone P is inspired by the multi-faceted, on the move, globally aware Indian consumer. This is why the company has come up with a smartphone that is pocket-friendly and still comes with all the latest features, he further said.
Senior Director, Mobiles at Flipkart Ayyappan Rajagopal, said the company is happy to launch the Smartron tphone P that will expand the customers’ choices in the budget/pocket-friendly segment.
Notably, the tphone P has been developed under Smartron’s ‘Powered by tronX Program that gives the company’s partner devices an access to tcloud, tcare and tstore as well as tronX assistive and predictive AI to give the best user experience.
