Skyrim Special Edition mods for PS4, Xbox One, and PC available ahead of game release

A special edition of Skyrim is expected to be launched for PS4, Xbox One, and PC platforms with mod support. According to sources, the Special Edition of Skyrim will unlock within the next few hours from now with support for the mod.

The official website of Bethesda has already listed all the available mods. This will give you a chance to explore them before the game officially arrives. You will be able to find mods which can add a new difficulty level, remove health regeneration, and expand villages including enabling named dogs invincible.

Upon visiting the official website of Bethesda, you will be prompted to enter your birthday. After that, you will view a wide range of mods. As of writing this, there are over 250 mods visible on the Skyrim Mods page. If you select a particular mod, you will be able to add them to your library.

The PC platform has over 95 mods. If you want mods for Xbox One, you can pick any of them from the list of 117 mods. Regarding PlayStation, there are only 38 mods. The developers are actively working on the development of mods and you will find more as the game is officially launched.

If you look at Xbox One and PS4 mods, they are limited because consoles have an internal storage limit of 5GB and 1GB respectively. In PC, we don’t have any such limits.

Furthermore, PS4 mods are mainly restricted to using in-game assets. As a modder, you will not be able to create your own work from scratch. It is also not possible to create scripts that make use of more complex creations. There are reports that few modders have expressed hesitation to develop mods for PS4 due to restrictions in place.
