Samsung Electronics has announced the launch of the Galaxy Note Edge in India. The 32 GB variants of this premium device are priced at INR 64,900. The device is designed with the next generation edge display with a curved screen on the side, which is packed with a cutting edge functionality to make it stand apart in its segment.

The Galaxy Note Edge has a 1,600×2,560 pixels Quad-HD screen powered by 3 GB RAM and a 2.7GHz quad-core processor. It features a 3.7 MP front camera, classic 16 MP rear camera with optical image stabilization and the Samsung S Pen.
Samsung has also worked on ensuring long-standing battery life for the Galaxy Note Edge to let users enjoy the host of features without worrying about power interruption. The company will make this device available for sale starting first week of January through select retailers. The Galaxy Note Edge will be available in Frost White and Charcoal Black variants in India.
Alongside, the speculations surrounding Android Lollipop’s inclusion on Samsung’s Galaxy line of products are running high. New reports unveil the company’s plans to skip Android 5.0 and update the Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 4 directly with Android 5.0.1.
The Android 5.0.1 software update carries new features like slow and fast motion video recording. It also fixes multiple bugs reported with its predecessor. As of now, Samsung offers its Polish Galaxy S5 to consumers with the Android Lollipop upgrade and is expected to be available worldwide by the end of this 2014 or early 2015.
