Samsung is expected to unveil the next-generation Galaxy S8 smartphone during the upcoming MWC 2016. According to rumors, the phone will ship with an enhanced curved display. Samsung Galaxy S8 will be equipped with a 5.7-inch (1440 x 2560) Super AMOLED Corning Gorilla Glass 5 display with a pixel density of 515PPI. If you look at Google Pixel, the handset ships with a 5-inch Full HD AMOLED Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protected display with a pixel density of 441PPI.

Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to ship with Snapdragon 830 or Exynos 8895 processor. We expect Samsung to integrate Exynos 8895 for Galaxy S8 handsets shipped to India. Moreover, the upcoming Galaxy S8 will offer 6GB RAM coupled with 64GB and 128GB internal storage. You will be able to expand the storage up to 256GB. On the other hand, Google Pixel features Snapdragon 821 processor alongside Adreno 530 graphics powered by 4GB RAM. You can buy either 32GB or 128GB storage variant. However, you will not be able to extend the storage.

The S8 will incorporate dual 12MP camera sensor with PDAF, OIS, and dual-LED flash. It also will have an 8MP camera sensor with the ability to shoot FHD videos at 120fps. Google Pixel is equipped with a 12.3MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection & laser autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash and other features such as face detection and panorama. On the front-facing side, you have an 8MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture.

We don’t have any confirmation about the expected battery capacity of Samsung Galaxy S8. However, we expect that it should be 500mAh more than the Galaxy S7 power capacity. Google Pixel includes a 2770mAh fast charging battery, which is capable of delivering 26 hours of talk time.

Without any doubt, the S8 will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat. Google Pixel ships with Android 7.0 by default. In fact, Pixel and Pixel XL is the first handset to feature Nougat.

Samsung Galaxy S8 will be priced more than Galaxy S7. In India, the new Galaxy S8 will cost Rs. 10000 more than the previous counterpart because of new features such as curved display and wireless charging. Meanwhile, Google Pixel is already available at Rs. 57000 for 32GB storage variant. You should note that the cost will change depending upon the color and storage.

If you are not in a hurry, we suggest you wait till the release of Samsung Galaxy S8. This is because you will be able to experience advanced features.
