Last year, Samsung released a Batman-Themed Injustice Editon of its Galaxy S7 flagship. Now, the company has announced the Pirates of the Caribbean Editon of the latest Galaxy S8. That said, it’s only available in China for now.

Samsung joined hands with Disney to launch the special edition Pirates of the Caribbean-themed Galaxy S8. According to Sammobile, the Pirates of the Caribbean edition Galaxy S8 is the same as the original Galaxy S8 launched on April 21.

However, it comes inside a box which looks like a treasure chest just like in the movie. It sports the Pirates of the Caribbean skull logo on top, while the standard retail box comes inside the themed chest. In addition, the chest also includes a faux gold ring holder along with a limited edition case for the smartphone. Not to forget, this limited edition Galaxy S8 also rocks a Pirates of the Caribbean theme. Check out the gallery below:

The Samsung Galaxy S8 Pirates of the Caribbean edition is currently on sale in China for $880 (CNY 5,988) via Chinese retailer JD.com. Samsung did announce a couple of limited edition variants of the Galaxy S7 last year in the US. That said, we’re not sure whether the Pirates of the Caribbean Edition Galaxy S8 will release in the US.

In other related news, the latest Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ have reportedly set a new pre-order record than any other Galaxy phones of the past. The company’s newly launched flagship has received a positive feedback from both customers and reviews.

However, some users have expressed concerns over a reddish tint in the phone’s display. As a number of users who pre-ordered the Galaxy S8 wrote in forums and online communities that the Galaxy S8 has a reddish tint that stays there even after tweaking display settings.

Samsung started rolling out a fix for the same issue on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ for some of the European countries late last month, after rolling out the same update in South Korea a little earlier.
