Samsung Galaxy S5 to be unveiled on February 23: Reports

Samsung seems to be in no mood to rest after the praises and profits earned by its premium smartphone Samsung Galaxy S4. The efforts of the company has encouraged it come out with its updated version of S4 – Samsung Galaxy S5.Β 

According to a tweet of Russian analysts and blogger Eldar Murtazin, Samsung Galaxy S5 launch would take place on February 23 at Barcelona event. The analyst had earlier accurately predicted the launch date of the Samsung Galaxy S4.

He has also tweeted that the Galaxy S5 will be priced similar to the Galaxy S4 and will come with a new version of TouchWiz, the UI skin that Samsung’s Android phones feature. The phone should be available end of April, he believes.

Although the tweet does not reveal any details about the inside of the rumored Galaxy S5; it does suggest that the specifications are ‘known’, pointing out to the previous reports

Evleaks, who also has a good record of accomplishment revealed similar observations. He however mentioned that the brand would skip the iris scanner for its upcoming Galaxy S5 flagship and instead focus on fingerprint scanning technology.

Other rumors specifications reveal the Smartphone Samsung Galaxy S5 would feature a high-resolution AMOLED screen and include a 2900mAh battery, an increase from the Galaxy S4’s 2600mAh juice pack, a Snapdragon 805 processor, 2K display; a 16MP camera; and a premium metal-body.
