Samsung unveiled the latest Galaxy Note 7 with only 4 GB of RAM. The announcement made the audience wonder about the Galaxy Note 7 6GB RAM variant, which was expected to launch at the event.

However, things are clear now as the 6GB model of the Galaxy Note 7 has just been certified by TENAA in China. The new Galaxy Note 7 variant will also feature an increased storage capacity of 128 GB. Almost every rumor and speculation regarding the latest Note phablet has been mentioning about the 6 GB RAM capacity.

The Galaxy Note 7 does not come with significant improvements over the Samsung S7 Edge, at least on the paper. Although it features the same specifications as that of the previous device, there are several other improvements. With the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung emphasized more on fine tuning the device instead of just boosting sheer horsepower.

The brand new Galaxy Note sports a wraparound screen. The dual curved display has less sloping but steeper curves than that of the Galaxy S7 Edge. The display has the same 2560 x 1440 resolution but a significant better quality with High Dynamic Range (HDR). This is the first handset in the world to feature this new technology. HDR helps in displaying the best combination color and brightness suitable for human eyes.

The build quality of the new smartphone is way ahead of its predecessor. Being the first smartphone to sport the latest Gorilla Glass 5, the Note 7 provides unmatchable ruggedness. The phone will almost certainly survive shoulder height drops from a height of 1.6 meters onto any rough and hard surface. The 7000 series aluminum made back of the smartphone is also covered with the indestructible Gorilla Glass 5.

Samsung brings a new kind of biometric verification to the Galaxy Note 7. The Iris scanner makes the device one of the most secure Android smartphone in the world. Samsung has worked a lot on the Iris scanner and has made it one of the most advanced in the market. The Iris scanner has an IR LED light emitter and a dedicated IR scanning camera. This can work seamlessly even in dark areas.

The latest Type-C USB 3.1 port has also been added in the newest Note phablet. This brings several improvements in transfer speed and charging rate. The S Pen has now become waterproof along with the phone and can work accurately under water.

The Galaxy Note 7 is expected to launch on 11th August in India at a price upwards of Rs. 60,000. Samsung will most probably bring the 4 GB RAM in the country, and the 6 GB may arrive later after being launched globally.
