Samsung Galaxy Note 7 to have features like ability to Scribble on display edges

There have been a lot of speculations about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Now a recent report has suggested that the upcoming phablet will allow users to write on its curved surface.

A teaser image said to be that of Galaxy Note 7 surfaced online, which throws light on this feature of the upcoming smartphone. The image says, “Write on the edge of something great.”

Till date, users could only use the S-Pen on the display area and not on the curved surface. But the recent image surfaced indicates that the Samsung is developing a stylus-sensitive side panel that would enable users to scribble on the curved display.

A while back, a patent filed by Samsung back in August 2015 surfaced that speaks of the same feature. Check the picture below to get a clear picture of how it will work. Meanwhile, the purpose of this functionality is not clear.

Though the leaked image reveals its functionality of the curved display, it also firms the previous rumors that the upcoming device will have dual edge screen.

The teaser image has leaked online, so we cannot verify its authenticity. Readers are advised to take the information with a pinch of salt. A while back, a teaser confirmed that Samsung is skipping the Note 6 for the Galaxy Note 7.

Talking about the specifications of the Galaxy Note 7, then the device is expected to feature a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED QHD display (1440×2560). Powering the device will be the latest Snapdragon 823 SoC with quad-core CPU paired with Adreno 530 GPU. The phone is expected to have onboard 6GB of RAM along with the rear camera of 12MP shooter with a f/1.7 aperture and a 5.8MP front snapper. It will pack a fingerprint sensor, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, USB Type-C with integrated Samsung Pay technology.
