Samsung Galaxy J1 (2016) is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2016. The device will have a 4.5-inch display as compared to the 4.3 inch that was included with Galaxy J1. However, the screen resolution will be same with 480×800 pixels.

If the reports floating around the Internet are to be believed, Samsung Galaxy J1 (2016) is expected to be bundled with a 1.3GHz quad-core Exynos 3457 processor, which the Samsung has not launched yet. Moreover, the device will have 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB or more than that.

As per the reports, Samsung Galaxy J1 (2016) is expected to ship with Android Lollipop, but we firmly believe that the device will have Android M.

Galaxy J1 (2016) is supposed to include a 5MP primary camera and 2MP front camera. However, we expect higher specifications since Samsung lays thrust on imaging department for every device.

The images supposed to be of the new device have been seen on the web since last several hours. We happened to see two images. The first image shows the device name followed by the OS name.

However, the second image portrays two SIM card slots and a sticker with barcode and details of specifications such as model number, removable battery, dual-SIM card slots including a Made in Vietnam caption.

We can see that the speaker slot is placed on the top left side with the camera lens in the middle.

The images leaked on the web are that of white color. However, we expect Samsung to release the device in various colours to attract consumers.

While Samsung has not yet commented about the possible leaks of images and specs, the company is scheduled to launch Galaxy S7 within the next two months.

Samsung Galaxy J1 (2016) is the successor to Galaxy J1 device launched in February 2015. However, J1 device was shipped with 512MB of RAM and dual-core 1.2GHz CPU with the Mali-T400 GPU.
