Within days after the official launch of Samsung Galaxy C5 and C7, the rumors about the third handset dubbed as Samsung Galaxy C9 has been doing rounds in the rumor mills. Even though the C series is exclusive to Chinese markets, there is a possibility for the company to release the device in other international markets. The upcoming Galaxy C9 is expected to ship with enhanced features than the other two C-series devices. There are rumors that the Samsung Galaxy C9 will also be called as model number SM-C900. According to Insiders, the company has internally named the new handset as “Amy”. Recently, the India-based import tracker website Zauba has listed the details of a new smartphone, which could be the new Galaxy C9.
According to analysts, nearly eight units of the smartphone passed through Delhi air cargo and the description clearly specifies the model number with the display size. Moreover, the device has been listed as Not for sale. With an approximate value of one unit is fixed at Rs. 17,107, the total value of all 8 units accounts to Rs. 1,36,855. The new smartphones have been imported to India for testing purposes.
Samsung Galaxy C9 Specs: 5.7-inch FHD display
The leaked document clearly reveals that the new device bearing model number SM-C9000 features a 5.7-inch display. The panel size is larger than the Galaxy C5‘s 5.2-inch FHD display. Moreover, the document discloses that the IMEI number of each unit imported to India is not duplicate, fake and zero. The new smartphone was imported into India and documented on August 19, 2016. We don’t have any other information about the specifications of the Galaxy C9.
Even though the Zauba document mentions the cost of the device as Rs. 17,000 (USD 250), there will be variations in the cost when the handset will be finally released on the market. There are unconfirmed reports that the disclosed price of the Galaxy C9 is only for customs purposes.
