Samsung Galaxy C7 (2017) with Helio P20 SoC Spotted on Geekbench

Samsung may likely to announce the next generation C series handset (Galaxy C7) in upcoming months. The device is now spotted on benchmarking website; GeekBench with model number Samsung SM-C710F. As the model numbers suggest, this handset would probably be the next generation handset in the C-series. However, the device was earlier spotted on certifications websites like TENAA, Bluetooth SIG, and Wi-Fi Alliance.

As per listing, the device has scored 883 Single-Core and 3959 Multi-Core scores respectively. The listing also suggests that the handset is equipped with MediaTek Helio P20 MT6757 octa-core chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM. The top cores of the processor are clocked at 2.3GHz, and the lower core is clocked at 1.69 GHz.

The Galaxy C7 handset has been subjected many leaks in recent times. According to some rumors, the device may be powered by Snapdragon 630, 4GB RAM, and 64GB ROM. The smartphone is expected to be featured with all metal unibody design and may come in dual SIM variants. Nonetheless, in the camera department, the handset may be equipped with 16 MP rear shooter and 8MP front facing camera, however, few other rumors point at a dual rear camera setup which is unclear at the moment.

To recall, the previous gen Galaxy C7 handset was launched in May 2016 and featured with 5.7 inches Full HD Super AMOLED display, Snapdragon 625 chipset coupled with Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB RAM. The handset comes in two ROM variants i:e 32GB/64GB which is further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. The device sports with a 16MP rear camera with F/1.9 aperture and 8MP front camera with the same aperture.
