Samsung is all geared to announce the refreshed Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 smartphones at an event on January 5, 2017. Now a new report that comes from China has revealed more or less everything about the two smartphones before their official unveiling next week.
Samsung Mobile Malaysia has confirmed that these devices will be announced at a special event that’ll be held in Kuala Lumpur. Besides, the rumor mill also notes that there are supposed to be three Galaxy A 2017 smartphones. That said, its still unclear whether the company will reveal all three at the upcoming event.
Samsung Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7: Specs and Availability
According to the report, the Galaxy A5 is said to feature a 5.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display. Under the hood, the device gets powered by a 1.9Ghz octa-core processor bundled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The Galaxy A5 is said to feature 16MP front and rear cameras with f/1.9 aperture. Other keys features include IP68 certification, a fingerprint sensor, USB Type C port, along with a 3000mAh battery. Also, the smartphone is said to run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.
Meanwhile, its larger sibling the Samsung Galaxy A7 is said to feature a slightly larger 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display. Under the hood, it packs the same 1.9Ghz octa-core processor bundled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage. Even this one is said to get 16MP front and rear cameras with f/1.9 aperture, IP68 waterproof certification, a fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C connectivity, and a slightly beefier 3600mAh battery.
As far as pricing goes, reports claim that the Galaxy A5 gets a price tag of around $380 in China, while the Galaxy A7 is will cost around $425 in China.
