Rolls-Royce Dawn convertible debuts in India at Rs. 6.25 crore

Probably one of the most luxurious convertible automobile in India, Rolls-Royce Dawn has been launched at an opulent price of Rs. 6.25 crore (ex-showroom Mumbai). Following the Phantom Drophead Coupe, Rolls-Royce Dawn is second of its kind and effortlessly follows the stature of a ‘Rolls-Royce’.

Carrying a large grille upfront, which can easily intimidate any other luxury car, Rolls-Royce Dawn carries an unbeatable and a timeless style statement. Hand-crafted and trimmed in the finest leather and wood, the interiors are a treat to the eyes and the customizing options are innumerable.

Featuring BMW iDrive system and a 10.25-inch high definition screen, there are sixteen individually tuned speakers for entertaining the occupants. The company claims that the Dawn is “the sexiest Rolls-Royce ever built” and taking a look at the car, you can heartily concur the company’s statement.

The soft-top roof of the car can operate in just over 20 seconds below the speed of 50km/h. Putting out the strength of 563 horses, the 6.6-litre V-12 engine can roll from 0-100 kmph in 5 seconds sharp. Putting down the power in this rear wheel drive is the ZF eight-speed automatic transmission, and the curb weight of the car is around 5644 pounds.

On an average, the car consumes around 14.4 litres of fuel for covering 100 odd kilometres. The Dawn is also equipped with a cruise control system and a heads-up display. Rolls-Royce also claims that this convertible has the most silent cabin (with the soft-top down) in the world. The six-layer fabric roof retracts itself with utmost silence and the car, on the whole, is as quiet as its sibling ‘Wraith’.

The car’s GPS is apparently synced with the 8-speed gearbox and based on the distance to the location. It can automatically change its gears as well. No wonder, the British car-maker exudes class and sophistication in the best possible manner.
