Reliance Jio is the undisputed king in the 4G network service regime in India. And the company has already grabbed a huge number of consumers domain under its belt. Meanwhile, the Indian telecom giant Airtel has also joined this league of this 4G VoLTE service network recently. Moreover, the Jio has confirmed that the company will start the delivery of 6 million JioPhone units to the consumers start on Sunday and will be completed within 15 days.
The JioPhone has been targeted to the rural areas and small-town domain across the country. To recall, the Jio phone pre-booking was started way back on August 24th this year. The phone was booked in a refundable deposit of Rs. 500, while the remaining installment of Rs.1000 has to be paid by the customer when the company starts delivering the handsets. Moreover, the entire amount, i.e., Rs. 1500 will be refunded against the return of the phone after three years.
Moving to the Specifications, the low-cost JioPhone features a 2.4 inches QVGA display which offers 240 x 320-pixel resolution. The handset is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core SPRD 9820A/QC8905 chipset coupled with a 512MB RAM, Mali-400. The phone also adheres with a 4GB ROM which is further expandable up to 128gigs via microSD card. The phone runs on KAI operating system out of the box, and it fuelled by a 2000mAh battery which claims provides full day backup under normal to heavy usage.
Regarding optics, the Jio Phone boost with a 2MP rear camera and 0.3MP of selfie snapper. On the connectivity front, the handset includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.1 with BLE, USB 2.0, 3.5mm audio jack. The Jio Phone also equipped with the array of sensors like SOS, NFC, Voice Command, Connect To TV Via Jio Media Cable, Connect Import via Gmail and adheres supports for 22 Indian Languages.
