Reliance Jio has launched a new Jio JioFi 4G wireless hotspot with an OLED display and an enhanced 2600mAh battery. Priced at Rs. 1999, the JioFi 4G wireless hotspot is currently being sold in select cities across India.
The newly launched JioFi 4G hotspot gadget is comparatively larger than its previous counterparts. It features a squarish shape with smooth edges. Moreover, the new hotspot ships with a sleek matte finish design instead of glossy egg-shaped in the currently available JioFi. The main attraction of the new JioFi 4G hotspot is the integration of OLED display located on the top of the gadget.
The images of the new Reliance Jio JioFi were showcased by the Twitter user Raghvendra. Upon inspection, the images featured a vague ‘Designed in India’ logo at the rear of the hotspot.

Reliance Jio JioFi 4G disadvantage
The main disadvantage of the newly launched JioFi 4G wireless hotspot is that it only provides support for only up to 10 gadgets. Previously, the hotspot provided support for 31 smartphones. However, it will be sufficient for a large user base.
As mentioned above, the price remains the same as the previous model. Even though Reliance Jio released the JioFi wireless hotspot for Rs. 2899, the company slashed the price to Rs. 1999.
With Reliance JioFi, you will be able to make use of free data until December 31 under the Jio Welcome offer. As of writing this, we don’t have any accurate information about the plan and rates after January 1. However, we expect the company to retain all the existing plans without any modification.
Reliance Jio JioFi will be very useful if you want you to share 4G connectivity. The hotspot is also portable, which enables you to carry the network on the go. The JioFi hotspot will enable you to use 4G LTE on your phone that doesn’t support 4G through the Jio Join app. The app also allows you to make calls and send messages through the JioFi.
