Reliance Jio has released the logo and hoardings for its upcoming 4G mobile devices under the brand name LYF. The hoardings contain 12 special Telugu emojis and are available on the official Twitter handle @JioAmaravati. The new properties are released ahead of the Amravati Marathon sponsored by the group.
We spotted the new logo of the upcoming device on every important building at the 500-acre Reliance Corporate Park campus in Navi Mumbai. The logo consists of LYT and a love symbol in the middle followed by Jio.
Reliance Jio handsets are currently available only to employees of Reliance Industries. We expect LYF is used for marketing purposes and will not be the final brand name.
The LYF smartphones are expected to feature 5-inch IPD display, Snapdragon 615 processor, Android Lollipop 5.0.2 in addition to an array of services accessible only through the phone. The 4G dual-SIM slots are expected to include a capability to connect to third-party networks.
The devices supplied to employees have the capability to deliver up to 50-70 Mbps of speed in addition to the ability to connect to 10 devices at the same time.
There are unconfirmed reports that Reliance is scheduled to extend these features for smartphones manufactured for consumers. The LYF branded smartphones will likely hit the market towards the end of Q1 2016.
