Xiaomi lately confirmed the launch date of the much anticipated Redmi K20 Pro in India. Following which, both the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro will be unveiled on 17th of July at an event to be held in New Delhi. Having said that, we now have the alleged prices of the K20 Pro, leaked on Twitter days before the launch schedule.

According to the sources, the Redmi K20 Pro will be offered four different RAM and storage variants. Particularly, the base variant with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage will start at Rs. 24,999, accompanied by the 6GB/128GB model that’ll be pitted at Rs. 25,999. On the other hand, the 8GB/128GB and the 8GB/256GB variants will retail for Rs. 27,999 and Rs. 29,999 in the country.

Note that the Redmi K20 Pro starts at CNY 2,499 in China, which is almost equal to the tipped Indian pricing. If the alleged pricing turns out to be true, the Redmi K20 Pro will be a killer smartphone in its segment, undercutting the OnePlus 7 and Asus 6Z by a good margin.

At Rs. 24,999, the base model seems to be an absolute value for money smartphone. And indeed, it’ll become the cheapest phone to offer Snapdragon 855 SoC in the country. That said, let’s have a look at full specs and features of the device.

As for the specs, the phone features a 6.39-inch AMOLED full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) screen with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and 91.9 per cent screen to body ratio. The panel also bears an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Under the hood, the handset gets powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC. One can also expand the storage further up to 512GB with the given microSD card slot.

For photography, the Redmi K20 Pro gets an AI-powered triple rear camera setup at the rear. The module comprises of a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary shooter with f/1.75 aperture, a 13-megapixel wide-angle shooter, and a third 8-megapixel unit with an f/2.4 lens. For selfies, the phone gets a 20-megapixel front camera, housed in the pop-up module.

On the software front, the handset runs MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie. Other features include an eight-layer liquid cooling technology and Game Turbo 2.0 feature. There’s a massive 4,000mAh battery that carries support for 27W fast charging.
