Pioneer introduced its newest ‘navigation-cum-entertainment’ system, the AVIC-F80BT, which is AirPlay enabled and supports life-life navigation around the country. The new digital system will be available for purchase at a price of Rs. 51,990.
Built for India, the system houses maps and information for over 5,00,000 towns and villages including 7,000 cities, so navigation is a breeze. The maps also provide 3D views and sign-post views for important junctions and landmarks, making navigation more life-like.
The AVIC-F80BT system comes equipped with a number of playback options including USB, Bluetooth, DVD, CD, AUX and radio. It also features 2 USB slots as well as Bluetooth connectivity and offers touch-slide crossover settings to adjust optimal playback form. It also lets you control your media with a remote on your steering wheel.
The Manager of Marketing and Product Planning at Pioneer India says the AVIC will let iPhone users listen to the playback, read messages and place calls with AirPlay, while the HDMI feature will allow a wired connection for multimedia playback on the head unit screen. Miracast dongles support a wireless connection between smartphones and enable the user to cast photos or watch videos or movies on the screen.
An interesting part about the AVIC-F80BT is it sports a feature called dual-zone audio-video, which lets those on the back seat of the car choose to watch or listen to something different from those on the front seats.
The passengers on the back seats have dedicated rear seat monitors in place. The inclusion of Mixtrax lets you create a continuous mix of all your audio tracks instead of having to shuffle them manually.
