Panasonic Eluga S, a selfie smartphone launched in India at Rs. 11,190

The Japanese manufacturer, Panasonic is expanding its Eluga series in India. They have launched the Eluga S; an octa-core powered selfie phone priced at Rs. 11,190. The device comes with a Blink-Play feature which takes a selfie picture after an interval of 3 seconds when the user blinks.

Commenting on the launch Mr. Manish Sharma, Managing Director, Panasonic India said “We are sure that Panasonic’s ELUGA smartphone range has certainly raised the bar of standard to a great level and has the potential to succeed in the Indian market. This is the third phone is the ELUGA series which defines our willingness to embrace new technology in a market like India. As we launch new devices, we will continue to innovate for our customers.”

The phone supports a 1.4GHz Octa-core processor accompanied by 1GB of RAM. It boasts a 5-inch 720p IPS HD screen and an internal storage of 8GB with microSD card support upto 32GB. Panasonic has added a 5MP camera at the front, and there is an 8MP camera at the back. The phone comes with dual-Sim capabilities and a 2100mAh battery.

It runs Android 4.4 KitKat and comes with Panasonic’s Fit Home UI. It comes with software features such as Kwik Lock( double tap to unlock), Pop-i player, Music cafe and Gesture control. In terms of connectivity, offers 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS and the phone has a 7.9mm thin unibody form factor

The phone will be available starting the third week of November in two variants – black and white, with stitched leather finish at the back for Rs. 11,190.
