Oppo F7 Black Diamond Cricket

Oppo announced the launch of the F7 Black Diamond Cricket Special Edition model in India. In a smart business move, the model has been launched when IPL fever in the country is at its zenith, with the phone too accompanying attractive cases to match its cricket theme.

As The Mobile Indian reported, the Cricket Special Edition however is identical with the regular F7 even though the special model will only be available only in a Black Diamond finish. Three phones will also be bearing signatures of crickets Hardik Pandya, R. Ashwin, and Rohit Sharma, all of whom have been roped in to be the brand ambassadors of the company.

The special Cricket edition phone comes powered by a 64-bit MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core processor coupled to a 4 GB RAM and 64 GB ROM. It features a 6.23-inch full-HD+ display of 19:9 aspect ratio. The phone runs Android Oreo 8.1 with a layer of ColorOS 5.0 running on too.

Another highlight of the Oppo F7 includes its 16 MP rear camera while a 25 MP Sony IMX576 sensor allows for selfie shots. The rear camera boasts of an f/1.8 aperture while the same for the front stands at f/2.0.

An interesting aspect of the F7’s imaging capabilities happens to be its AI Beauty 2.0 app. For those not in the knowing, the app is capable of scanning up to 296 points on a person’s face. The data thus gathered allows the app to point out the person’s age, gender, skin color and so on. The Chinese manufacturer added the app in its present form can be said to be 20 percent better optimised than its predecessor so far as its facial recognition capabilities are concerned.

Meanwhile, another likeable aspect of the new F7 special Cricket edition is that it does not charge a premium. Instead, the price has been kept unchanged at Rs. 21,990. Oppo also has an even higher rated F7 variant to offer which comes with the same specification save for a 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. The version is also priced higher at Rs. 26,990 but does not offer a corresponding Cricket special edition model.
